Katherine Evans, PhD

Katherine Evans holds a doctorate in the philosophy of ethics and artificial intelligence from Sorbonne University, with a specialization in the Ethics of Autonomous Vehicles. She also holds a masters in political and ethical philosophy from the Sorbonne, and an undergraduate in cinema studies and direction. She left her native Vancouver ten years ago to pursue a life in Paris, where she is now based. Currently, Katherine works as a consultant and scientific expert for multiple actors in the AI ecosystem. She was commissioned by UNESCO in 2021 to author a comic book for AI literacy, released earlier this year in 4 languages. She is also a consultant at the IEEE for the development of ethical standards, and lead analyst at the International Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI).
