Zoe Kardasiadou is a lawyer, who specialises in data protection and ICT law, including consumer protection law, and law of torts. She holds a doctoral degree from the Law Faculty of the University of Hannover, Germany. Since 1996 she has worked in the field of data protection. Since 2004 she worked at the Hellenic Data Protection Authority and since 2011 headed the Department of Auditors. She had been a member of several legislative committees and evaluator of research project proposals in the field of data protection. She is currently seconded as national expert at the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights and works in the sector for the information society, privacy and data protection. She has been teaching data protection law, consumer protection law, e-commerce law and medical malpractice, first at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover and subsequently at various universities in Thessaloniki and Athens. To date, she has a series of speeches and publications.
